Mother Nature in Clay

Today is all about the Clay

Mother Nature

This piece was done with the bird enthusiast in mind")

I have to say this was so much fun and easy to make!

The key to this piece is using a set of rulers on each side of your slab of clay while rolling it out. This insures even consistency. Also be sure to leave all the little knick and gouges from rolling and such, as later when distressing it gives a further vintage feel.
When stamping your clay...Using a clear stamp block will allow you to arrange your stamps to your piece of clay so you get a better turn out of your vision.
You will need a hard canvas 5x7
acrylic paint/sandpaper
distress ink pad (vintage photo ranger) was used here.
Makins clay white 120g pkg
stamps of choice
sticks and bobbles for decoration and of course staz on or archival stamping ink.

I would like to remind customers, Makins clay should be purchased from the venders specified on the Makins site as other stuff on the web may be out of date stock and you run the risk of not getting the wonderful results you deserve.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you feel inspired!
